The Aphrodite Awakening, or Birth of Venus comes from Greek Mythology. According to the story, a shell was transported to the Isle of Cyprus by two dolphins, and when the shell opened up, there was Aphrodite, or Venus, fully formed.
The working model of Awakening of Aphrodite, Birth of Venus has cast in bronze. It is available for purchase in bronze, cast stone or resin.
A casting of the small working model can be sent to Italy to be carved in Carrara Marble at greater time and expense.
