Bela Lugosi as Dracula - 2024

$750.00Price

Bella Lugosi as Dracula by Grant R. Fairbanks

Although Vlad Dracula was an actual historical person, the idea of Dracula as a Vampire was created by an English author named Bram Stoker. From his novel, the haunting image of Dracula as a vampire has been reproduced in various motion pictures. The classic portrayal of Dracula in the movies is best remembered by an actor named Bela Lugosi.

He was able to retract his upper eyelids to show the whites of his eye to give his face a frightening appearance. The decision to make an oil painting of Bela Lugosi was somewhat whimsical, but in the painting he is cast in his classic role. In this painting by Grant R. Fairbanks, M.D., in 2024, he has depicted the image of Bela Lugosi with his penetrating, staring eyes and vampire fangs.

A copy of the painting can be made available as a giclée.
