Camille Caine
Unfinished Portrait Sculptured Bust of Camille Caine. She was a Weber County Councilwoman and the wife of a thoracic cardiovascular surgeon. She requested that Grant R. Fairbanks, M.D., make a sculptured portrait of her.
A life mask was made for reference and multiple photographs taken. From the mask and the photographs, a life-size portrait bust was created in non-permanent medium called pasteline (and oil-based clay).
It was intended that the subject would personally sit for the portrait; however, this never occurred; therefore, the statue remains in an unfinished state. The sculptor, nevertheless, has intention to cast it in bronze, as an example of his work.
Cast examples of this sculpture are not currently available for purchase.
