$750.00Price
This is an oil painting by Grant R. Fairbanks, M.D. (date 2020) which depicts a notable statue of a Carthaginian Princess discovered at an archeological site in Spain and demonstrates an extraordinary costume of the time, around 300 BC. It should be remembered that Spain at one time was a Carthaginian Colony, and it was from Spain that Hannibal launched his military campaign with elephants against Rome by crossing the Alps into the northern frontier of Rome. Carthage was a Phoenician Colony that at one time dominated the Mediterranean Sea with its Navy. The Carthaginian Empire was a rival of Rome and destroyed by Rome.
Our alphabet comes from the Phoenicians, as well as many words in use today.
