Dalla Terra (“from the Earth”)
This is a beautiful small female figure study created by Avard T. Fairbanks in 1934 which recalls the Springtime theme with a human female figure arising from the Earth amid fronds of plants in the Art Deco style.
She is in a vertical posture with one arm extended, the other folded. A single plaster casting was recently discovered in long-term storage.
It was recovered and restored. A bronze casting can be made available for purchase.
