This is beautiful small female figure study designed in 1936 and a sculpture created by Avard T. Fairbanks in 1937 which recalls the Springtime theme with a human female figure arising from the Earth amid fronds of plants in the Art Deco style.
She is in a vertical posture with one arm extended, the other folded. A single plaster casting of this unique figure study was recently discovered in long-term storage. It was recovered and restored.
