Eagle Head

This is a realistic representation of an Eagle head created by the sculptor of the Eagle for the Eagle Gate - Grant R. Fairbanks, M.D. 

This eagle head was initially proposed to be used on the new Eagle for the Eagle Gate; however, those in the Highway Department who commissioned the sculpture insisted that the Eagle for the New Eagle Gate be a replica of the stylized Eagle of the Old Wooden carving. 

This head was created by Grant R. Fairbanks. after studying golden eagles directly in the eagle cage at the Hogle Zoo, Salt Lake City.
