$12,000.00Price
This is the first small working model for the Custer Memorial Equestrian statue which was intended to be placed at the site of the Union Army defeat under Custer at the Battle of the Little Bighorn. Custer was an outstanding Civil War Calvary Officer. He was the only Union General who never lost a battle in the Civil War.
He accepted the flag of surrender by Confederate forces at Sayler’s Creek in 1864. The first working model cast in bronze was donated to the Fort Abraham Lincoln Foundation Museum in Mandan, North Dakota. Names of all 265 men who died at the Battle of The Little Bighorn were also provided with this statue.
A bronze casting of the small working model can be made available for purchase.
