This is an oil painting of the high point of Little Cottonwood (Alta)Canyon called the Albion Basin done in 1960 by Grant R. Fairbanks, M.D. The original painting was given to the obstetrician, Robert Hall, M.D., who delivered his first son, Grant A. Fairbanks, M.D. Much later, after the death of Dr. Hall, it was discovered for sale in an antique store and was purchased back by the artist. It was subsequently given to his son, Dr. Grant A. Fairbanks, M.D. and is in his possession.

Although a Giclee lacks the surface texture of the original oil painting, when framed, and on the wall, it will appear to be identical.
