Old Oregon Trail Marker - Bronze
In its full size, it is 36 inches in diameter, demonstrating a wagon traversing a difficult terrain with oxen and a hardy pioneer at the side. Within the wagon is a mother and infant. This large relief is in a number of key points along the Oregon Trail, ending at Baker, Oregon. It found its way onto a United States postage stamp and also became the symbol of Pioneer High School in Ann Arbor, Michigan. A smaller example of the Old Oregon Trail plaque, also bronze, is 11 inches in diameter. Both are available in bronze castings.
