Salt Lake Valley Sunset

A painting by John B. Fairbanks, grandfather of Grant R. Fairbanks, M.D., father of Avard T. Fairbanks.  Utah sunset landscapes were one of the favorite subjects of John B. Fairbanks.  John B. Fairbanks was an early Utah artist who studied in Paris, France.  This particular sunset scene is a copy by Grant R. Fairbanks, M.D., of a meadow in the Salt Lake Valley, looking toward the Oquirrh Mountains.
