Stonewall Jackson - Thomas J. Jackson CSA

This represents the working model for the brilliant Confederate General who never lost a battle in the Civil War.  It depicts him at the first Battle of the Bull Run standing with his horse while musket balls are flying past him.  One of the Confederate Officers said, “Look, there’s Jackson, standing like a Stone Wall.”  He turned the fleeing Confederate troops around and drove the Federals from the field for an astounding Confederate victory, which ensured that the war would continue.  The full-size statue was originally ordered by the Daughters of the Confederacy, but the commission was never completed.  A bronze casting of “Stonewall Jackson” is in the Confederate Museum in Richmond, Virginia.  A small bronze casting can be made available for purchase.
