This is an accurate oil painting/figure study painted from life of a nude model, with her arms raised high above her head and hands clasped together. This has the effect of exhibiting the entire torso anatomically and has a cast shadow behind the model. She is sitting on a draped sculpture stand with a blue background drape. The effect is one of an uplifting dimension with the model looking directly at the observer.
